Volunteer-based Department
The Village of Geneseo Fire Department is also known as the ”Geneseo Fire Department”.
The volunteer membership provides fire protection and ambulance service for the Village of Geneseo, and the Town of Geneseo by contract.
The volunteer members operate two basic life support ambulances, rescue pumper, two pumper-tankers, ladder truck, two utility vehicles, rescue boat, and a reserve ambulance. Call volume averages approximately 1,600 ambulance calls and 275 fire responses per year.
