Court Clerks Office Hours

Monday-Thursday: 8AM to 3PM; Friday: 8AM to 12PM

The Court Clerk's Offices in the Geneseo Building on Main Street serve both the Geneseo Town Court and the Geneseo Village Court. The address of the building is 119 Main St, Geneseo, NY 14454.

Please note that the Assistant District Attorney and Public Defender are present on court dates. Courts are not scheduled on the 5th Tuesday of any month.

Payments to the Courts

Cash, money orders, bank certified checks and Mastercard/Visa are accepted. Personal checks are not accepted. Payments must be made in US funds! We cannot accept payments by phone!

Online payments may be made via the links for each court. You will need to know which court you are making a payment to, and have your name, date of birth, case number and Judge's name to complete a payment.

If you need any of the information required to make an online payment, please contact the court clerk's office. Please note, partial payments can be made online—however, the court clerk's office will not send out monthly bills.

It is your responsibility to continue to make any monthly payments ordered by the Judge.

Pleas

If you wish to plead by mail and no longer have your original ticket, please complete the plea form and mail, fax or email it to the Court at the above address. Please print clearly and include your current mailing address. The plea must contain your signature. The court cannot accept a plea that has your typed name in the signature line.

Small Claims

In Small Claims Court individuals can sue for money only, up to $3,000. The claim must be filed in the jurisdiction in which the person lives, works, or has a place of business. If the claim is $1,000 or less, the filing fee is $10. If the claim is over $1,000, the fee is $15. Complete the application form to file a claim to get started.

Certificates of Disposition

You can request a printed and sealed Certificate of Disposition or Conviction from the court. The fee for the Certificate of Disposition or Conviction is $5.00. You can mail or email the request form to the court. Once received, the court will contact you and give you instructions on how to make the fee payment to the court.

Reductions & Traffic Diversion

For information regarding ticket reductions and traffic diversion programs, contact the Livingston County District Attorney. Please be sure to include your full name, address and a copy of your ticket whenever corresponding with the Court or District Attorney's office. 

Parking Tickets

Parking tickets are not handled by the Courts.

The Village Clerks office handles parking tickets issued in the Village of Geneseo.
