Local Statutes of Interest
Village Code 33-3 CARRYING OF OPEN CONTAINERS: No person shall
carry, transport or have in his /her possession with the intent to consume
in any public place, other that permitted public places, any open, resealed
or partly empty bottle, can, container, or similar article containing
an alcoholic beverage of any kind or description as defined by the Alcoholic
Beverage Control Law..
Village Code 33-4 DEPOSIT OF CONTAINERS PROHIBITED: No person shall
break, leave, discard or deposit in any manner any glass, bottle, glassware,
crockery, can or container of any kind, make or description in any public
place as herein defined.
Village Code 57-1 DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS PROHIBITED: No person shall
discharge or cause to be discharged any firearm within the limits of the
Village of Geneseo at any time, without written permission from the Police
Department.
Village Code 90-2 INTERFERENCE WITH MONUMENTS, BULDINGS OR SIGNS:
No person shall climb upon, intrude upon, tamper with, deface, break,
damage, destroy, remove or possess any Village monument, building, fountain,
fountain base, superstructure, sign, sign post or parking meter, except
when authorized by the Village Superintendent of Public Works or the Chief
of Police.
Village Code 77-2B1 UNREASONABLE NOISE BETWEEN 11PM AND 7AM: No
Unreasonable noise from any source between the hours of 11:00p.m. and
7:00a.m. the following day.
Village Code 77-2B4 UNREASONABLE NOISE FROM A REPRODUCTION SYSTEM:
Noise from any sound reproduction system operating or playing any radio,
CD or tape player, television or similar device that reproduces or amplifies
sound in such a manner as to be heard 60 feet from its source or beyond
any property line.
Fire Prevention/Building Code 1191-2C1 NO OUTDOOR BURNING: No outdoor
fires, including bonfires and rubbish fires, shall be permitted unless
legally authorized and in conformity with forest fire control regulations.
Parking Violations:
-No parking on any Village Street between the hours of 2:00a.m. and 7:00a.m.
-No parking on the front lawn
-No parking on the boulevard
-No parking on sidewalks or crosswalks
-No parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant
